Every owner has the right to demand that any trees planted from then on at a shorter distance from their property be uprooted.
Civil Code · Spain
If the branches of any trees extend over neighbouring land, gardens or yards, the owner of these has the right to demand that they be cut back as far as they extend over their property; and if it is the roots of neighbouring trees that extend into another's land, the owner of the land they enter may cut them himself within his own property.

Trees standing in a shared living hedge are also presumed to be shared, and either owner has the right to demand that they be felled.
Trees that serve as boundary markers are excepted; these may only be removed by mutual agreement between the neighbours.
How I work
Three steps and your garden is in good hands.
My work
Gardens and plots I have worked on in Tenerife.
About me
I've spent my whole life among plants. I started out helping on the family's land and, over the years, turned a passion into my trade. I know the island's climate and soil well, from the coast to the hills, and I know what every garden needs to stay healthy and beautiful all year round.
I like a job well done: arriving on time, doing what we agreed and leaving everything clean at the end. Every garden is different, so before starting I always come to see it and listen to what you want.
I work all over the island of Tenerife, with homeowners, residential communities and businesses.
